Brandon Miller
Brandon Miller records 18 points, full stat line
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 4:12 PM
Brandon Miller finished Friday's loss to the Bulls with 18 points (8-of-22 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers.
Analysis: While Miller did provide a complete stat line on Friday, the field-goal percentage remains an issue. He shot 2-of-8 from beyond the arc against the Bulls and made just under 50 percent of his two-point attempts. For the season, Miller is shooting 36.6 percent from the field, which is why he's ranked outside the top-150 in eight-cat formats. Hopefully, he can turn it around in time, because Miller's fantasy value suffers for that reason.
Josh Green
Josh Green plays 17 minutes in season debut
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:44 PM
Josh Green finished Friday's loss to the Bulls with two points (1-of-2 FGs), one assist and one steal.
Analysis: Green saw his first action of the season on Friday, so neither the minutes nor the production should be surprising. And his fantasy prospects moving forward don't look all that promising, as Kon Knueppel has established himself as a key building block, and Sion James (14/4/1 with two three-pointers) offers a higher offensive ceiling than Green. While his defensive ability should get him on the floor, there's no need to consider rostering Green in redraft leagues.
Miles Bridges
Miles Bridges posts 32 points, seven assists
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 3:43 PM
Miles Bridges amassed 32 points (13-of-20 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists and four three-pointers in Friday's loss to the Bulls.
Analysis: It's safe to say that Bridges has snapped out of the mini-slump he found himself in after dropping 35 points on the Raptors back on November 29. He finished Friday's defeat with his fifth 30-point game of the season, one shy of his total for the 2024-25 campaign. With LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller having missed extended time due to injury, Bridges has been one of the Hornets' few constants in fantasy basketball this season. The Hornets end Week 8 with a road game against the Cavaliers on Sunday.
Moussa Diabate
Moussa Diabaté (knee) available Friday vs. CHI
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 11:18 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Moussa Diabaté (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Initially questionable for Friday's game, Diabaté was upgraded to probable earlier in the day. He's now officially available to play, which will impact the Hornets' center rotation. Mason Plumlee will likely fall out of the rotation entirely, but this does not affect fantasy basketball.

Moussa Diabaté (knee) upgraded to probable Friday
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 7:41 AM
NBA Injury Report
Moussa Diabaté (knee) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Diabaté sat out Sunday's matchup with Denver, which allowed Mason Plumlee to join the rotation. With Diabaté expected to play, he could reclaim his role as Charlotte's primary backup center, leaving fewer minutes available for Plumlee.
Moussa Diabate
Moussa Diabaté (knee) questionable Friday vs. CHI
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:16 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Moussa Diabaté (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Diabaté has been hobbled by a sore right knee, most recently sitting out Sunday's loss to the Nuggets. Mason Plumlee played rotation minutes off the bench, serving as Ryan Kalkbrenner's backup. If Diabaté can play on Friday, Plumlee will likely fall out of the rotation entirely.
Josh Green
Josh Green (shoulder) absent from injury report
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:13 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Josh Green (shoulder) is not on the injury report for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Green is set to make his season debut after undergoing left shoulder surgery in June. Given the time missed, his minutes are likely to be restricted for conditioning reasons. When healthy, Green is a solid defender who does not offer much fantasy value on the offensive end of the floor. He's worth watching, but should not be considered a must-add, especially with the Hornets adding Kon Knueppel, Sion James and Liam McNeeley via last June's draft.
Pat Connaughton
Pat Connaughton (calf) ruled out Friday vs. CHI
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:10 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Pat Connaughton (calf) is out for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Connaughton has been unavailable since November 22 and has no return timeline. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as Connaughton did not play consistent rotation minutes when healthy.
Tre Mann
Tre Mann (knee) out Friday vs. Bulls
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:09 AM
Tre Mann (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Mann is set to miss his fifth game in a row with a knee injury. KJ Simpson has seen his minutes increase in Mann's absence, though he's still not worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.
Collin Sexton
Collin Sexton (quad) out Friday vs. Chicago
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:08 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Collin Sexton (quad) is out for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Friday's game will be the third that Sexton has missed due to a strained left quad. With LaMelo Ball and Tre Mann also out, the Hornets will likely stick with KJ Simpson as the starting point guard. While his fantasy ceiling is limited, Simpson is worth a look in deep leagues due to Charlotte's lack of healthy alternatives.
LaMelo Ball
LaMelo Ball (ankle) out Friday vs. Bulls
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 11:07 AM
LaMelo Ball (ankle) is out for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Ball hasn't played since leaving Friday's game against the Raptors with a bone bruise in his left ankle. Sion James and KJ Simpson have seen additional minutes in Ball's absence. Given his history of ankle injuries, that absence could extend beyond Friday.
Miles Bridges
Miles Bridges records 24/9/8/1 line vs. Denver
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 2:31 PM
Miles Bridges accumulated 24 points (10-of-19 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, eight assists and one steal in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis: With LaMelo Ball and Collin Sexton unavailable due to injury, Bridges spent more time on the ball as a playmaker on Sunday. That factored into him dishing out a season-high eight assists, finishing two helpers and a rebound shy of a triple-double. Sunday's performance occurred at a good time for Bridges and those who have him rostered, as he's ranked outside the top-200 in nine-cat per-game value over the past two weeks. He'll look to build on Sunday's showing in Week 8, with the Hornets playing on Friday and Sunday.
Brandon Miller
Brandon Miller struggles with shot, scores 17
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 2:31 PM
Brandon Miller accounted for 17 points (5-of-19 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and four three-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis: Miller had a rough night inside the arc, making just one of his nine two-point attempts. However, a respectable 40 percent mark from three boosted his point total, and he did finish with a complete stat line. The five assists were the most he's recorded in a game since the season opener, when Miller dished out seven helpers against the Nets. Staying healthy has been an issue for him this season, so the extra time off due to the NBA Cup may benefit Miller. Charlotte plays games on Friday and Sunday during Week 8.
Moussa Diabate
Moussa Diabaté (knee) out Sunday vs. Denver
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:21 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Moussa Diabaté (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Diabaté has been downgraded from questionable to out, which means Ryan Kalkbrenner will retain his place in the starting lineup. Mason Plumlee should play rotation minutes as the backup center, but that is not a good spot to find fantasy value. Leave him on the waiver wire.
Collin Sexton
Collin Sexton (quad) to remain sidelined Sunday
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 11:47 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Collin Sexton (quad) is out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Sexton will miss a second straight game after straining his left quad during Wednesday's loss to the Knicks. KJ Simpson and Liam McNeeley have seen their playing time increase, as the Hornets are also without Tre Mann. Of the two, Simpson will likely play more on Sunday since LaMelo Ball is out.
Tre Mann
Tre Mann (knee) ruled out Sunday vs. Denver
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 11:40 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Tre Mann (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Mann will miss a fourth straight game on Sunday, which means more minutes are available to KJ Simpson and Liam McNeeley. However, neither has done enough to merit being rostered.
Pat Connaughton
Pat Connaughton (calf) to remain out Sunday
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 11:38 AM
Charlotte Hornets
Pat Connaughton (calf) is out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Connaughton has not appeared in a game since November 22. His absence will not affect fantasy basketball, as the veteran wing is not guaranteed rotation minutes when healthy.
LaMelo Ball
LaMelo (ankle) ruled out Sunday vs. Denver
Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 11:36 AM
Charlotte Hornets
LaMelo Ball (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Ball exited Friday's win over the Raptors with a bone bruise in his left ankle. Due to his previous ankle injuries, this is a concern for the point guard and the Hornets. With Tre Mann and Collin Sexton also out, more minutes will become available to Sion James and KJ Simpson. Also, don't be surprised if Kon Knueppel spends more time on the ball.
Brandon Miller
Brandon Miller scores 12 points in return
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 5:41 PM
Brandon Miller returned to the lineup on Friday and finished with 12 points (5-of-14 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in a 111-86 win over the Raptors.
Analysis: It was only a two-game absence for Miller, but it was good to see him back on the floor since he has already missed so much time this season after missing most of last season. It wasn't a spectacular first game back, but he was able to play 30 minutes in a blowout win over the Raptors. LaMelo Ball injured his ankle, and if he remains out, Miller should see a bump in usage in the coming weeks.
LaMelo Ball
Ball (ankle) exits Friday's game vs. Raptors
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 3:30 PM
Charlotte Hornets PR
LaMelo Ball (ankle) will not return to Friday's game against the Raptors.
Analysis: LaMelo just can't seem to keep his ankles healthy. He dealt with a right ankle injury in November, and now it's the left ankle that will keep him sidelined for at least the remainder of Friday's showdown. Hopefully it won't keep him sidelined long, but both KJ Simpson and Sion James should be in line for more minutes with Ball unavailable. There should be an additional update on his status at some point this weekend.
